At St Annes, we have a number of Sunday gatherings held in our Historic Church and our Auditorium. Each service is unique in character, and yet are all distinctly St Annes.
St Annes is a church family from many different backgrounds united by Christ.
Ordinary people, extraordinary God
Jesus makes a difference
St Annes is filled with stories of people who have experienced God’s love. We celebrate how God has taken our lives and crafted them into beautiful stories of peace, hope and joy. Hear their stories for yourself and discover the difference Jesus makes.
Allen’s story
Growing up, I compared myself to others and felt insecure. But then I discovered about the servant leadership of Jesus, the king who doesn’t compare me to others.
I was very shocked and shaken when I found out that my cancer had returned after 35 years. But I didn’t lose hope because my best friend Jesus had always been there for me and I looked forward to being in his presence.
Australia was a foreign place and I felt lonely and lost. I had no time to think about religion but then my son got really sick and I prayed to God hoping he would hear me. Then everything changed.
Parents, grandparents, and carers are invited to bring their children along to enjoy playtime, sing-along songs, musical instruments and movement, engaging Bible stories and morning tea together. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet other local families and for your children to learn, explore and make new friends.
Our Connect Groups are small gatherings of Christians who meet together weekly to read the Bible and pray for one another. These small groups provide opportunities to engage with Sunday’s sermon, for questions to be asked, and to deepen friendships, receive support and pastoral care.
We run “Christianity Explored” or “Faith Explored” courses each term. These courses are open to anyone wanting to explore who Jesus is and find out the foundations of the Christian faith. There is time for mingling, asking questions and engaging with the Bible alongside others.
Check out the St Annes Ryde vision statement across 5 services, which helps us to cast our eyes to the future and consider what it means to be God’s church in Ryde. This is a great series for anyone who is new or wanting to find out more about what being a part of St Annes is about.
In this series, we are fixing our eyes on Jesus—who he is, what he has done, and what it means to belong to him. As we explore the riches of his person and work, we’ll see how being united with Christ gives us a new identity. This identity in Christ not only defines who we are but also transforms how we live, shaping our values, relationships. Each week, we’ll reflect on a different aspect of this identity and consider how the gospel calls us to live in light of it.
