Growing up, I compared myself to others and felt insecure. But then I discovered about the servant leadership of Jesus, the king who doesn’t compare me to others.
I was very shocked and shaken when I found out that my cancer had returned after 35 years. But I didn’t lose hope because my best friend Jesus had always been there for me and I looked forward to being in his presence.
Australia was a foreign place and I felt lonely and lost. I had no time to think about religion but then my son got really sick and I prayed to God hoping he would hear me. Then everything changed.
CHRISTIANITY EXPLORED
At various times in the year, we run Christianity Explored or Faith Explored. These free courses are relaxed and informal ways of exploring faith and Christianity, with opportunities to engage with the Bible and ask any questions along with a small group of other explorers.
Over six sessions, participants will read Mark’s Gospel to find out more about the life of the person at the heart of the Christian faith – Jesus Christ. The structure of each session is simple: a short Bible study, a video talk and a discussion based on the talk.
FAITH EXPLORED
Faith Explored is an exploration of the life of Jesus, open to those investigating the Christian faith as well as believers who want to check out the Gospel of John in a small group. There will be time to engage directly with one of the biographies of Jesus and to ask your questions.
