Your wedding at St Annes...

The historic Church of St Anne is a beautiful setting for traditional weddings. Our experienced staff can help ensure that your wedding service is a significant and memorable occasion.

The Church of St Anne is an historic sandstone building circa 1826 with beautiful stained glass and other heritage features. The church can accommodate up to 200 people and its traditional pipe organ and sound system allows you to choose your own style of service.

Alternatively, some people prefer a wedding in a more modern contemporary setting. Our airconditioned auditorium which seats up to 350 is also available for wedding ceremonies.

Members of St Annes ministry staff will conduct your marriage service. If you would like your own minister please contact St Annes office to discuss this.

Please note: We are unable to conduct weddings on a Sunday.

Costs
The cost of a wedding in the Church of St Anne or the St Anne's Ryde auditorium for 2010-11 is $1,100. We offer an all inclusive package that covers:

  • Minister
  • Church hire for 1.5 hours
  • Organist and carillon (bells)
  • Church liaison staff at the wedding
  • The use of silk flowers and pew decorations
  • Preparation of certificates, legal matters, administration costs
  • Assistance with preparation of your service
  • Marriage preparation course
  • Wedding information night
  • Wedding rehearsal

Exclusions:

  • There is a reduction of $100 if you have neither organist nor bells. Note: We do not allow outside organists to play our unique pipe organ.
  • If you would like the bells only, there is a reduction of $50.
  • The church hire is for one and a half hours, allowing 30 minutes for guests arriving and 1 hour for the completion of your service and time for guests to exit the building. Extra time inside the church is charged at $100 per hour.

Wedding Information Night
Wedding information evenings are held for groups of couples during the year. On this night you will have many of your questions answered as you be able to hear the organist play a selection of popular bridal pieces, see how a wedding is conducted and view the pew decorations and flowers.

Marriage Preparation Course
All couples must complete an approved marriage preparation course. St Anne's runs a comprehensive marriage preparation course twice each year.  If couples are unable to attend one of these, they must arrange to do another approved course at their own expense (in this case a $50 rebate applies).

Bookings can be made by phone on 9809 1322 confirmed by payment of a non-refundable deposit of $100.

Morning/afternoon teas
Hall hire is $110 per hour (minimum 4 hours), for up to 200 people. 
Cost includes use of hall, kitchen, crockery, cutlery, glassware, wine glasses, all kitchen equipment.
Cost does not include tablecloths ($4 each for hire), garbage bin liners, tea towels.

Wedding receptions
Price on application
